Schedule
I’ve been looking at my previous scans, and I have a problem. I need to rescan because of the size. Sure, 1200 dpi is nice and everything, but when the image is less than an inch wide, resizing down to 300 dpi still won’t get me a 4 x 5 foot poster.
Earlier today I tried to scan my eye at 300% its normal size at 1200 dpi, since that was as big as my computer would allow me to scan at the time. Why in god’s name I’d scan my eye before scanning my hand is completely beyond me. At 300%, the scanner takes forever, and I nearly blinded myself like an idiot. Then the computer ran out of power and didn’t save the scan. Sigh.
I’m rigging a better setup tonight, and then I can have a nice big file to Photoshop and get printed by Thursday. My goal is to have something big and physical in my hands for critique. If it works out, then I can scan some more and continue to Photoshop. Baby steps…
